MacBook liquid damage repair in Palmdale
Coffee, water or soda on your MacBook? Shut it down, unplug it, and bring it in. We open it up, clean the corrosion off the logic board, and repair what the spill damaged.
What a spill does inside a MacBook
Liquid sits under the keyboard and on the logic board, where it causes corrosion and shorts. Even if the MacBook still turns on, the damage keeps spreading. These are photos from a MacBook Pro we cleaned on our bench. See more on our work page.
What to do right after a spill
- Shut it down and unplug the charger right away
- Don't try to turn it back on to "check" it
- Don't use rice or a hair dryer. They don't reach the board
- Turn it upside down in a tent shape and bring it in as soon as you can
How we repair liquid damage
- Open the MacBook and remove the logic board
- Inspect under the microscope for corrosion and burnt parts
- Clean the board in an ultrasonic cleaner and dry it fully
- Micro-solder any damaged parts, then test charging, power, keyboard and screen
We also handle liquid damage on iPhones, Samsung phones, iPads and consoles. See all water damage repair.

FAQ
Can a MacBook be fixed after liquid damage?
Often, yes, especially if you bring it in fast. The sooner we clean the board, the less corrosion there is to repair.
How much does MacBook liquid damage repair cost?
It depends on how much of the board the spill reached. We start with a $40 diagnosis and give you a written quote before any work. See our pricing page for more.
My MacBook still works after the spill. Should I still bring it in?
Yes. Corrosion keeps growing after a spill and can kill the board days or weeks later. Cleaning it early is cheaper than a board repair later.
Do you repair MacBook Air and MacBook Pro?
Yes. We work on MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models, both Intel and Apple Silicon.
Is there a warranty?
Yes. Repairs with qualified parts carry a 1-year warranty.
